Machines

The Knitwit Stable has five Chinese industrial hand – driven machines in 1½ , 3, 5 and 7 gauge and three household coarse knitting machines from Brother.

In almost all low-wage countries these knitting machines are used in the production process. In China and Bangladesh, despite the introduction of computerized knitting machines, these hand -driven knitting machines are often used for sampling.

These knitting machines have to be manually configured, which will  ensure the underlying technology of knitting is fully understood.

To assemble knitwear we have two home link machines.

Furthermore there is a spinning wheel for spinning wool and professional yarnwinder.
