These fingerless mittens are made of merino wool, knitted in our mini factory in Baambrugge. The merino mittens are finely knitted compared to the mittens out of Dutch wool which have a coarser appearance.
The amazing properties of merino wool
The fiber of the wool of merino sheep is much thinner and therefore softer than the wool of traditional Dutch sheep. The wool adapts to the environment. It is elastic, and regulates humidity. This wool cools you down in summer and keeps you comfortably warm in winter. On top of all this, merino has antibacterial qualities and it’s completely biodegradable. It requires little care, as wool is self cleaning, so some fresh air is enough to keep enjoying your favourite sweater for years.
These mittens are 3D knitted which means they are completely seamless.
