The Knitwit Stable x Yumeko launch a limited edition wool throw. On October 5, 2021, Yumeko will launch 50 unique wool throws in collaboration with The Knitwit Stable. Blankets are made of 100% high-quality wool from the Dutch Kempisch heath sheep and alpacas. The beautiful, warm plaids are knitted locally in the Netherlands.

This vision fits in seamlessly with Yumeko's vision. Yumeko also produces products in transparent, ethical chains that contribute to a positive impact on the environment, humans and animals.

Local production

The limited edition of 50 unique wool throws that Yumeko will launch in October 2021 are knitted locally in the Netherlands. The design of the plaids in which various knitting stitches are used is inspired by the view from 'The Knitwit Stable' on the meadow in Baambrugge with the skyline of villages and the Dutch skies at the end. The soft and high-quality wool of the plaids come for the most part from the Kempisch heideschaap of the grazing farm De Wassum in Roermond. A herd with a small ecological footprint. To make it even softer, wool from Dutch alpacas has been added.

The sheep are sheared in the Netherlands, after which a special team sorts the wool and removes straw, hay, manure and other dirt, so that only the beautiful, usable wool remains. We are proud that only one step in our production process in the takes place abroad, in contrast to normal wool production. Only washing, carding, combing and spinning is done in Italy, because they have the best experience with this and the right machines. The Knitwit Stable then turns the yarn into these beautiful, unique throws.
