Dutch wool fine
± 50 gr. / ± 400m
Our traditional Dutch yarn but fine. This laceweight yarn (16/2) is perfect for the more sophisticated projects!
This yarn is a blend of wool from traditional Dutch sheep, alpaca and merino. Traditional Dutch sheep give a tough, rough wool and the alpaca makes it a bit softer. This wool remains just below the itch point for most people. The sand, taupe and natural off white are the natural colors of the sheep and alpacas. The dark blue has been GOTS certified washed and dyed, which means that it has been dyed with as few harmful dyes as possible. You can see the yarn on the website in style Guus and Michel. For this you need about 100 grams.
A ball of Dutch Wool of 50 grams contains approximately 400 metres. We advise you to always knit a test piece first and then wash it to check the number of rows and stitches.
Knitting tension: Sample piece 10 x 10 cm = 31 stitches and 45 rows after washing. Needle number 3.
Washing instructions: 30 degrees wool wash, dry flat.
