The special properties of mohair

Mohair is a versatile, natural fiber that has many characteristics that make it wonderful for all kinds of garments. Not only does mohair have a beautiful shine and fluffy texture, it is also soft, lightweight and durable. Garments made from mohair are very breathable, meaning that they stay cool in the summer and keep you warm in the winter. Additionally mohair has antibacterial properties so garments hardly need to be washed; airing them out is often more than enough. This way your favorite sweater will last for generations.

Alongside all these incredible qualities that make this multifaceted fiber excellent to wear, our mohair is also environmentally conscious. All the mohair is biodegradable and responsibly sourced. This means that, through the whole supply chain, the mohair produced meets certain standards of transparency, animal welfare and environmental responsibility.

Choose your color and size

This shawl comes in nine colors: off-white, dark blue, light blue, chocolate, flower stem, aubergine, winter dew, green, and blossom (soft pink). The off-white is the natural color of the mohair goat and is not dyed. All colors are dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means the amount of harmful chemicals has been minimized. To ensure efficient recycling, we are switching to a mono-material: the colors light blue and blossom are already 100% mohair.

The Juul measures 175 cm x 75 cm.

The shawls are displayed in the showroom and may stretch slightly over time. Wool is a natural product, so the size may vary slightly from the measurements listed above.

Made to order

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we only start producing your item after your order. The delivery time is 1-4 weeks. But we promise you: it is worth the wait. And the nice thing about this: you can also indicate your wishes if you want the item to be made a little shorter or longer, for example.

Shawl made of Dutch mohair

Juul is a shawl made of super-soft mohair. You can wrap our shawl around yourself or wear it as a wide scarf. This wool, made from sustainably produced mohair from young Dutch goats, is scratch-free and wrinkle-resistant. You can choose between ribbed or fringed edges for the shawl's ends.

All our products are developed and knitted in our mini-factory in Baambrugge.
