Removable collar made of Dutch mohair

Keetje

The Keetje is a comfortable dicky top (detachable collar) with a high collar and two panels that fall to approximately the waist. The front and back panels are not attached, so the Keetje can easily be worn over shirts or jackets. This wool is made made from sustainably produced mohair from young Dutch goats, does not itch and retains its shape over time.

The special properties of mohair

Mohair is a versatile, natural fiber that has many characteristics that make it wonderful for all kinds of garments. Not only does mohair have a beautiful shine and fluffy texture, it is also soft, lightweight and durable. Garments made from mohair are very breathable, meaning that they stay cool in the summer and keep you warm in the winter. Additionally mohair has antibacterial properties so garments hardly need to be washed; airing them out is often more than enough. This way your favorite sweater will last for generations.

Alongside all these incredible qualities that make this multifaceted fiber excellent to wear, our mohair is also environmentally conscious. All the mohair is biodegradable and responsibly sourced. This means that, through the whole supply chain, the mohair produced meets certain standards of transparency, animal welfare and environmental responsibility.

 Choose your color

This collar comes in nine colors: off-white, dark blue, light blue, chocolate, blossom (soft pink), flower stem (green), winter dew (grayish purple), aubergine, and green. The off-white is the natural color of the mohair goat and is undyed. All yarns in our synthetic colors are washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals has been minimized.

The Keetje Col has a total length of 64 cm.
The body is 40 cm long (measured from the shoulder) and the collar is 24 cm.
The chest width is 34 cm.

The Keetje Spencer is 54 cm long, measured from the highest point of the shoulder with a collar of 24 cm.
The chest width of this version is 50 cm.

If you need to adjust the size, please mention this in the order notes.

 Made to order

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we will only start producing your item after you have placed your order. The delivery time is 2-4 weeks. But we promise: it's worth the wait. And the nice thing about this: you can also indicate your wishes if, for example, you want the item to be made slightly shorter or longer.

Keetje made from Dutch mohair

The Keetje is available in two variations: as a spencer and as a col with a high collar and two panels that fall to approximately waist height. The front and back panels are not attached, allowing the Keetje col to be worn easily over shirts and under jackets.

The spencer has the same collar, but the side seams are closed.

This yarn is made from sustainably produced mohair from young Dutch goats. It does not itch and retains its shape over time.

All our products are developed and knitted in our mini factory in Baambrugge.
