Pieter Pot x The Knitwit Stable

Every now and then, a mistake is made during the knitting process and parts of the wool have to be rewound. This can create a small knot or a flaw in the knitting. We used this yarn to make these special "Don't Pieter-me" beanies.

We are super proud of our collaboration with Pieter Pot, who make it easy and fun to shop for groceries, without unnecessary (plastic) packaging waste. They deliver your groceries in beautiful reusable jars throughout the Netherlands.

Interested in these "Don't Pieter-me" beanies? Go to the Pieter Pot webshop to order them! (there are only a few left...)

Joe Circular x The Knitwit Stable

Joe Circular Crew | Joe Merino

Joe makes the wool go round.

Joe Merino is now on its 4th batch of Joe Circular products. The Circular line from Joe Merino is knitted in Baambrugge in collaboration with The Knitwit Stable.

The Circular Crew is a sweater made from ‘discarded’ sweaters. More and more Joe Merino sweaters are being returned, so the Circular Crew sweater is now available in Mix Grey and Mix Brown, in addition to Mix Blue. You can order them for €160 on the webshop or pick them up in Joe Merino stores.

Material District fair in Utrecht

Material District is the inspiration event for material professionals and (interior) architects.

With presentations from 150 manufacturers, start-ups and designers, exhibitions with the latest materials and a line-up of 50 inspiring speakers, a visit offers you the unique opportunity to see and touch the latest materials and products with your own eyes, meet suppliers and learn more about the latest developments in sustainability and (interior) architecture.

Fibershed Netherlands Foundation, Enschede Textielstad, Zeefier and The Knitwit Stable will be present.

While seaweed is a rich but underutilized product from the water, wool is its counterpart on land. Zeefier, The Knitwit Stable and Enschede Textielstad combine their expertise to create beautiful, regenerative products, such as a carpet of Dutch wool, colored with seaweed, upholstery fabrics, the Dutch AaBe blanket and other types of textiles that bridge the rich, local and natural raw materials of land and sea.

We previously exhibited the carpet at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.

Formafantasma - Oltre Terra

The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam presents the exhibition Oltre Terra, a research project by design studio Formafantasma on the history, ecology, and global impact of wool production. Humans have greatly influenced the evolution of sheep, but sheep have also contributed to human history. Oltre Terra brings together materials, objects, and crafts into a multidisciplinary viewing experience.

This exhibition will be on display from February 15 to July 13, 2025.
