What wool naturally can
The natural structure of wool traps air between the fibers. This creates an insulating layer that helps retain body heat, without the material having to feel heavy.
What wool can do naturally
Wool can absorb moisture and release it back into the environment. This helps the material regulate temperature and humidity, keeping it comfortable to wear even when conditions change. Because wool is less prone to odor, airing it out between wears is often sufficient.

More body and warmth, without being heavy. A balanced weight that is comfortable to wear and suitable for a large part of the year. Think Dusk and Glow.
Insulating

Thicker knits that retain more air around the body and therefore insulate more effectively. From robust jacquards like Dijk, Weide, and Oever to Husk: designed for colder weather and more protection.

The wool starts with the sheep
A fleece grows back every year. Breed, landscape, climate, and habitat give the wool its unique properties. This is where the material begins – long before it becomes a thread or a garment.

Shave & select
Not all fibres are the same
After shearing, the wool is carefully selected. Factors such as fineness, length, colour and quality are assessed to determine which wool is suitable for further processing and for what purpose.

Washing & Combing
From fleece to fibre
Raw wool is washed to remove dirt and natural residues. The fibres are then prepared and aligned for spinning. What remains is the basis for an even and usable yarn.

Colour & yarn
Wool finds its purpose here
The fibres are spun into yarn and, depending on the design, receive their colour. Sometimes we use one type of wool, sometimes we combine different fibres. Each choice changes the softness, strength, colour, and character of the final knitted fabric.

From yarn to form
During knitting, the yarn gains structure and shape. Stitch, density, and tension determine how a knit drapes, how much warmth it retains, and how supple or firm it feels. Material and construction come together here.
