Mohair is a versatile, natural fiber that has many characteristics that make it wonderful for all kinds of garments. Not only does mohair have a beautiful shine and fluffy texture, it is also soft, lightweight and durable. Garments made from mohair are very breathable, meaning that they stay cool in the summer and keep you warm in the winter. Additionally mohair has antibacterial properties so garments hardly need to be washed; airing them out is often more than enough. This way your favorite sweater will last for generations.

Alongside all these incredible qualities that make this multifaceted fiber excellent to wear, our mohair is also environmentally conscious. All the mohair is biodegradable and responsibly sourced. This means that, through the whole supply chain, the mohair produced meets certain standards of transparency, animal welfare and environmental responsibility.

This cardigan comes in nine colors: off-white, chocolate, dark blue, light blue, blossom (soft pink), green, eggplant, flower stem (green), and winter dew (grayish purple). The off-white is the natural color of the goat and is undyed. All yarns in our synthetic colors are washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals has been minimized.

This cardigan falls to the waistband. The length of the cardigan in size medium (from the highest point of the shoulder) is 58 cm. The sleeve length from the center back is 82 cm. The chest width in size medium is 58 cm.

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we only start producing your item after your order. The delivery time is 2-4 weeks. But we promise you: it's worth the wait. And the nice thing about this: you can also specify your wishes if you want the item to be made a little shorter or longer, for example.

Short ladies cardigan of Dutch mohair

The Babs is a marvelously warm and soft cardigan made of sustainably-sourced mohair from young Dutch goats. This wool doesn’t itch and is light-weight and crease-resistant. The Babs can be ordered with or without buttons.
