De Dirko is onze bestverkochte oer-Hollandse trui gemaakt van 60% Nederlandse wol, 20% Merino en 20% Alpaca. Door deze mix van vezels heeft de Dirko een unieke mix van eigenschappen: de Nederlandse wol biedt een stoerder uiterlijk, dat vervolgens verzacht wordt door de toevoeging van de alpaca. Deze heren trui heeft raglanmouwen en een hogere geribde kraag.

The special properties of Dutch wool and alpaca

Wool from traditional Dutch sheep is characterized by a tougher appearance due to its coarser wool fibers. Alpaca wool is light, super soft and strong. This is a perfect match. Wool fibers are very elastic and have a moisture-regulating capacity. The wool cools in the summer and warms in the winter, is very resistant to bacteria, is fire-resistant and biodegradable. Wool has a self-cleaning ability and therefore hardly needs to be washed. Venting is often more than enough. This way your favorite sweater will last for generations.

 Choose your color and your size

For this sweater, you can choose from four colors: off-white, sand, taupe, dark blue, and green. The off-white, taupe, and sand are the natural colors of Dutch wool and are undyed. All yarns of our synthetic colors are washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals is kept to a minimum.

This sweater is semi-fitted and has a turtle neck (8 cm). For men's size medium, the length of the sweater (from the highest shoulder point) is 68 cm and the chest width is 48 cm. The sleeve length of the Dirko is (from the center back) 85.5 cm.

This product is developed and produced at our farm and mini-factory in Baambrugge. We work with wool from Dutch sheep and deliberately produce in small batches.

Robust sweater made from Dutch wool

The Dirko is our best-selling authentic Dutch sweater, made from 60% Dutch wool, 20% Merino, and 20% Alpaca. This blend of fibers gives the Dirko unique properties: the Dutch wool provides a more robust appearance, which is then softened by the addition of alpaca. This men's sweater features raglan sleeves and a higher ribbed collar.
