Sturdy women's sweater made of Dutch wool and alpaca

Donna

The Donna is a warm, knitted jacket for both indoor and outdoor use. It features a comfortable stand-up collar, two handwarmer pockets, and sturdy snaps at the front. The design is inspired by a bomber jacket, but in a soft, luxurious knit version.

The jacket is knitted in our own studio in Baambrugge and is one of our more exclusive pieces, made in small editions and with great attention to detail.

The Donna comes in two variants in terms of wool composition:

•Taupe in the photo:Our Dutch Wool Blend is made with 60% Dutch wool, 20% alpaca, and 20% merino wool. This gives the jacket a robust look, yet feels soft and comfortable.

• Off-white in the photo :the same blend, but withextra mohairThis gives the jacket a light, fluffy look and makes it feel even softer. This version is heavier, weighing over a kilo, which gives it a beautiful, full quality and extra warmth.

The special properties of Dutch wool and alpaca

Wool from traditional Dutch sheep is characterized by a more robust appearance due to its coarser fibers. Alpaca wool is light, super soft, and strong. This is a perfect match. Wool fibers are highly elastic and have moisture-regulating properties. The wool cools in summer and warms in winter, is highly resistant to bacteria, is flame-retardant, and biodegradable. Wool is self-cleaning and therefore rarely needs washing. Airing is often more than enough.

 Choose your color and your size

This cardigan comes in five colors: off-white, sand, taupe, dark blue, and green. The off-white, taupe, and sand are the natural colors of Dutch wool and are undyed. All our synthetic yarns are washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means the amount of harmful chemicals is kept to a minimum.

The knitted jacket is semi-fitted, falls to the waistband, and has a high, double-knit ribbed collar of 15 cm. In a size Medium, the length of the cardigan (from the highest shoulder point) is 58 cm and the chest width is 58 cm. The sleeve length of the Donna is 81 cm (from the center back). Mijke is wearing a size M in the photo.

 Made to order

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we only start producing your item after your order. The delivery time is 2-4 weeks. But we promise you: it's worth the wait. And the great thing about this: you can also specify your wishes if you want the item to be made a little shorter or longer, for example.
