Our knitwear is made to last. Heavy wear is part of that. Over time, wear and tear can occur, for example on elbows, sleeves, or other areas with a lot of friction. With our maintenance and repair service, we collectively extend the lifespan of your Knitwit.

What can we do?

Depending on the condition of the garment, we can, among other things: •Darn or repair holes •Reinforce worn areas •Apply patches •Re-secure seams •Perform minor maintenance work After receipt, we carefully inspect the sweater or cardigan and assess what is technically possible and useful.

How does it work?

1.Submit your repair request via this page. 2.Send the garment to us or drop it off by appointment. 3.We assess the repair and send you a proposal with a cost estimate. 4.Once approved, we get to work.

Costs

Repair work is custom work. The costs depend on the nature and scope of the work. After assessment, you will always receive a proposal before we start. Our repair service is intended as maintenance for normal use. Wear and tear from intensive use is not a product defect, but part of a well-worn life. Timely maintenance often allows a garment to last for many more years.

After requesting a repair, you pay €7.20. This is a deposit and not a shipping label. You then send the item to us yourself. Once we have received it, we will assess the repair and send you a price proposal. After approval, we will carry out the repair. The return shipment will be included in the total costs.

What is not covered by repair?

•Damage due to incorrect washing or drying •Irreparable wear where the construction is structurally weakened •Repair requests outside of our own collections In some cases, repair may be technically possible but no longer sustainable or useful. In that case, we will honestly inform you.

In your wardrobeTo keep your knitwear in shape, fold it flat instead of hanging it in your wardrobe. Hanging knitted garments on a hanger increases the risk of them losing their shape.

Pills

Wool is a natural fiber, and pilling may occur during use. You can easily remove pills by gently brushing them with a fabric shaver or simply by picking them off with your hand. Your clothing will be as good as new!

Hairy materials
Mohair sheds during use. Be careful when wearing mohair items over dark clothing.

Repair

When you purchase an item from us, we provide a small piece of yarn for minor repairs. For instance, if you have a hole in your sock, we've made a video explaining how to darn your socks. If you're unable to repair your garment yourself, or if there's another issue with it, you can use this service.
