Our knitwear is made to last. Heavy wear is part of that. Over time, wear and tear can occur, for example, at elbows, sleeves, or other areas subject to high friction.
With our maintenance and repair service, we will work together to extend the lifespan of your Knitwit.

What can we do?

Depending on the condition of the garment we can, among other things:
• Plug or repair holes
•Reinforce wear areas
•Apply patches
•Re-tighten seams
•Perform light maintenance work
After receiving the sweater or vest, we carefully examine it and assess what is technically possible and useful.

How does it work?

1. Submit your recovery request via this page.
2. Send the garment to us or bring it by appointment.
3. We will assess the repair and send you a proposal with a cost estimate.
4.After approval, we get to work.

Costs

Restoration work is customized. The cost depends on the nature and scope of the work. After assessing the project, you will always receive a proposal before we begin.
Our repair service is intended as maintenance for normal use. Wear and tear from intensive wear is not a product defect, but part of a lifespan. With timely maintenance, a garment can often last for many years.

What is not included in recovery?

•Damage due to incorrect washing or drying
•Irreparable wear where the construction is structurally weakened
•Recovery requests outside our own collections
In some cases, recovery may be technically possible but no longer sustainable or meaningful. In that case, we will be upfront about this.

In your wardrobe
Keep your knitting in good shape by folding it flat instead of hanging it in your wardrobe. Hanging knitwear on a hanger increases the risk of it losing its shape.

Pills
Wool is a natural fiber, and small fluff can form during use. You can easily remove lint by gently brushing it with a fabric shaver or simply removing it with your hand. Your clothes will be as good as new!

Hairy materials
Mohair sheds with use. Be careful when wearing mohair items over dark clothing.

Repair
When you buy an item from us, we'll include a piece of thread for minor repairs. For example, if you have a hole in your sock, we've created a video explaining how to darn your socks. If repairing your garment isn't possible, or if there's something else wrong with it, you can use this service.

Pillen

Wol is een natuurlijke vezel, tijdens het gebruik kunnen er kleine bolletjes ontstaan. Je kunt pluisjes eenvoudig verwijderen door ze voorzichtig te borstelen met een scheerapparaat voor stoffen of gewoon door ze eraf te halen met je hand. Je kleding wordt weer zo goed als nieuw!

Harige materialen
Mohair verliest haren tijdens gebruik. Wees voorzichtig bij het dragen van mohair items op donkere kleding.

Reparatie

Wanneer je een artikel bij ons koopt, leveren wij deze met een stukje garen voor kleine reparaties. Als je bijvoorbeeld een gaatje in je sok hebt, hebben wij een video gemaakt waarin wij uitleggen hoe je je sokken kan stoppen. Lukt het repareren van je kledingstuk niet, of er is iets anders met je kledingstuk, dan kan je deze service gebruiken.
