Cushion made from Kempisch Heideschaap wool

We briefly mentioned it in our previous newsletter: our Kempisch Heideschaap wool cushion. With this cushion, you sleep ethically, locally, and socially. This cushion is filled with soft wool from the Kempisch Heideschaap, provided by grazing company 'De Wassum'. Thanks to its excellent moisture absorption, this cushion never feels clammy. Wool is also self-cleaning; simply beating or airing out the cushion is more than enough. The cushion is also hypoallergenic. In short: the perfect cushion for both nature and yourself. Start the new year with a wonderful and sustainable night's sleep and buy the cushion now via the button below.
December 28: fitting session at the farm

On Wednesday morning, December 28, we will have our last open morning of 2022 for you to visit us. Dates for winter and spring 2023 will be announced soon. Our fitting mornings are the perfect opportunity to see, feel, and try on our items. Additionally, there is ample opportunity to take a look around our farm, meet the animals, and see the mini-factory in action. After trying on, you'll have every chance to order your favorite item and customize it to your wishes. Your sweater or cardigan will truly be custom-made. Will you join us? Sign up by sending an email to info@theknitwitstable.nl with your preferred time and how many people will be joining you, and we look forward to seeing you.
Our collaboration with FANT and Atelier Sukha

Also briefly mentioned in our previous letter, but we are so proud that we are bringing it up again with a photo. Our collaboration with Sukha and FANT. Together, we have created a cardigan made from 100% local Dutch wool and 100% soft Belgian linen. The materials that both FANT and Sukha use are sustainable and pure, and we recognize ourselves in this. Therefore, it seemed like a great idea to combine these strengths. Sukha offers both online and physical opportunities to get acquainted. FANT has a beautiful website that offers a glimpse into their world, and both are more than worth taking a look at. Below are the links to the websites of Sukha and FANT. And if you get the chance, you can always visit the Sukha store at Haarlemmerstraat 110 in Amsterdam.
From leftover wool to socks

We are very pleased to have received a European subsidy from Leader Weidse Veenweiden for the project 'From leftover wool to socks'. Within this project, the team of The Knitwit Stable will receive various technical (follow-up) trainings and we will invest in machines for the production of wool socks. With this, we want to further close the wool chain. We want to make use of residual wool material, which is currently not being used. In addition, we want to play a connecting role in the chain, linking the beginning of the product, the farmer, with the end product. Thanks to Leader, we have the opportunity to realize this intention and take a next step in the development of knowledge in the production of local and sustainable products.
