Dutch Design Week
This summer, we extensively knitted for collaborations with Joe Merino, Joline Jolink, and FANT, among others. We also worked on new products. We are proud to announce that from October 19-27, The Knitwit Stable will be at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven with two projects! We are highlighting two new wool value chains! These two projects bring everything together: nature conservation, sustainability, craftsmanship, tradition, and innovation. We are very curious to hear what you think of the projects and hope to meet you there!
Cardigan Dory
You surely noticed our beautiful new photos on our website, taken by Dana van Leeuwen. In the photo on the right, Mijke is wearing our Dory.
The cardigan was already available in a long version, and now there's also a short one. A wonderfully soft and airy cardigan with a ribbed body for the ideal semi-fitted silhouette. This cardigan is made from sustainably produced fine mohair. Mohair has the extra characteristic of a beautiful sheen and, due to its hairy texture, is super soft, light, and durable. The fluffy wool doesn't itch and is wrinkle-free. The Dory you see here is the short model.
Regenerative wool farming
Last week, Reina spoke at the Regenerative Agriculture Summit Europe in Amsterdam. Here, we engaged in discussions with the International Wool Trade Organisation and Hugo Boss. We believe in a regenerative future for wool because it is a renewable resource produced in an environmentally friendly way, is biodegradable, has a long lifespan, and can contribute to healthy farming practices and sustainable ecology.
COSH!
The Knitwit Stable is now on COSH!, the online platform that brings sustainable stores and brands together under one roof. COSH! is the place to discover local entrepreneurs who work with passion and care for a more sustainable future. From fashion to cosmetics, and even packaging-free lifestyles, COSH! makes it easier to make conscious choices. On COSH!, you will not only find our beautiful, lovingly crafted wool products but also countless other brands equally driven to make the world a little more beautiful.
Bluetongue update
A short update from Cees: some sheep in the sick bay have recovered. Unfortunately, we had to put one of our sheep to sleep. We sincerely hope that the autumn temperature will remain below 10 degrees for a longer period so that the midges causing the spread disappear.

Wear for Life
Did you know that you wear an average of only 21% of your clothes? That worldwide we have enough clothes to dress 6 more generations? And that only 24% of discarded clothes end up in textile containers?
That has to change! With the WEAR FOR LIFE campaign, we are asking as many people as possible to sign a pledge.
By doing so, you promise to buy more consciously, wear your clothes longer, and give them a new life if you truly no longer wear them. So that less clothing ends up in landfills.
Keep an eye on @_wearforlife and #WearForLife on social media in the coming period.
