📍Baambrugge – on-site work
The Knitwit Stable is growing.
From our farm and knitting studio in Baambrugge, we are building a new textile chain: from Dutch sheep's wool to high-quality products. We collaborate with farmers, makers, spinners, knitters, designers, and customers to show that textile production can be different: local, transparent, and regenerative.
What started as an experimental place where Dutch wool regained its value is now growing into the next phase. The demand for our products is increasing, as is the number of collaborations, projects, and activities at our location.
That is why we are looking for an Operations & Community Coordinator to help ensure the smooth daily operation of The Knitwit Stable. Someone who maintains an overview, brings structure, and thrives in a place where many things happen simultaneously.
The role
You will be a central link in the team, ensuring that many practical and organizational matters run smoothly.
You will work closely with the founder and with business development, and support the team, interns, and volunteers.
The role is broad: from customer contact and inventory management to supporting events and wholesale projects.
The work is practical and varied: from answering emails and webshop management to organizing activities and supporting projects.
What you will do
Operational & supportive
- Management of the info inbox and first-line customer service (webshop and email inquiries), together with interns
- Daily coordination with interns and volunteers working on marketing, webshop, and events
- Support for logistics and customer communication within the team, including welcoming customers and visitors on site
- Inventory management of finished products and raw materials
- Administration of deliveries (B2C and B2B), packing slips, and inbound and outbound warehouse goods
- Operational point of contact for wholesale customers (orders, deliveries, and inquiries)
- Support for interior and accessory projects for wholesale
- Support for organizing open days, events, masterclasses, and receptions
In short: you help ensure that many different activities remain well organized while everything is happening.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who thrives on bringing structure to a dynamic environment.
You don't have to be able to do everything yet. More importantly, you work independently, maintain an overview, and enjoy collaborating.
We are looking for someone who:
- works in an organized and accurate manner
- communicates well with customers, partners, and team members
- easily switches between different tasks
- is practical and simply gets things done
- has an interest in sustainability, textiles, agriculture, or the circular economy
- feels comfortable in a small and entrepreneurial team
Experience with administration, logistics, customer service, or project support is a plus.
Experience with Shopify or website management is helpful but not required.
Since the work largely takes place on-site, we prefer someone who lives in the region or within a reasonable commuting distance from Baambrugge.
Why work at The Knitwit Stable?
Working at The Knitwit Stable means working in a special place where wool, sheep, production, design, and ideas come together.
We show that a different textile chain is possible: from Dutch sheep's wool to high-quality products and knowledge sharing. At the same time, we are building a community of makers, sheep farmers, designers, students, and customers.
You will work in a small team with plenty of room to contribute ideas and build the next phase of the company.
