With the 'Bobby' KNIT-KIT you can now knit yourself with our beautiful Dutch wool. With this kit you can make beautiful handwarmers with a nice pattern! The Bobby is a set of textured handwarmers with a braided pattern on top. The pattern is also for beginners! This kit contains 1 ball of Dutch wool, from Kempische heideschapen, mixed with merino and alpaca. The color is off-white. It is a kit for people with some knitting experience and takes about 8-10 hours.

The Dutch Sheep

That we use Dutch wool from real Dutch sheep for clothing is quite special. The micron is higher and is often seen as "lower quality", which is not the case! In the Netherlands we are not used to using coarse wool, but in Scandinavia that is much more normal. It is also a good thing that we use the wool, because we have about 800,000 sheep in the Netherlands that produce about 1 million kilos each year that would otherwise often end up in the landfill.

Composition

The yarn consists mainly of Kempisch heath sheep wool. In collaboration with nature grazing company De Wassum we carefully sort the wool. Every year there is breeding for improved wool. For the most beautiful end result and to combine the best properties we mix the Dutch wool with a merino and alpaca. The vast majority (60%) however consists of Dutch wool.
