The Pien is a plaid made of Dutch merino. Most of our merino comes from the Netherlands and is dyed and spun in Italy. All our products are developed and knitted in our mini factory in Baambrugge.

The special properties of merino wool

The fibre of the wool of merino sheep is much thinner and therefore softer than the wool of traditional Dutch sheep. Wool adapts to the environment. Wool fibres are elastic and have a great moisture-regulating capacity. This wool cools in the summer and warms in the winter, is very resistant to bacteria, is fire-resistant and biodegradable. Wool has a self-cleaning capacity and therefore hardly needs to be washed. Airing is often more than enough. This way your favourite blanket will last for generations.

Choose your color and size

For this plaid you can choose from four colours: off-white, sand, chestnut and dark blue. The off-white and sand have the natural colour of the merino wool and are not dyed. All yarns of our synthetic colours are washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals is reduced to a minimum.

This plaid is available in two sizes: 130 cm x 180 cm and 130 cm x 200 cm.

Made to order

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we will only start producing your item after you have placed your order. The delivery time is 2-4 weeks. But we promise: it's worth the wait. And the nice thing about this: you can also indicate your wishes if, for example, you want the item to be made slightly shorter or longer.
