The Pien is a blanket made from French Arles merino wool. The Arles sheep is a breed from southern France that produces beautiful merino wool.
This breed still practises the age-old tradition of transhumance. Transhumance is when shepherds move their flocks from low valleys to mountain pastures in the summer.

A lovely blanket for evenings on the sofa or an extra layer in bed.
The wool comes from France and is spun and dyed in Italy.
The blankets are knitted in our mini-factory in Baambrugge.

The special properties of merino wool

The fibre of the wool of merino sheep is much thinner and therefore softer than the wool of traditional Dutch sheep. Wool adapts to the environment. Wool fibres are elastic and have a great moisture-regulating capacity. This wool cools in the summer and warms in the winter, is very resistant to bacteria, is fire-resistant and biodegradable. Wool has a self-cleaning capacity and therefore hardly needs to be washed. Airing is often more than enough. This way your favourite blanket will last for generations.

Choose your color and size

For this throw, you can choose from three colours: sand, taupe, and dark blue. The taupe and sand are the natural colours of the merino wool and are undyed. The dark blue is dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals has been minimised.

This throw is available in two sizes: 130 cm x 180 cm and 130 cm x 200 cm.

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we will only start producing your item after you have placed your order. The delivery time is 2-4 weeks. But we promise: it's worth the wait. And the nice thing about this: you can also indicate your wishes if, for example, you want the item to be made slightly shorter or longer.
