The yarn is a mix of Dutch 'crossbreed' sheep, Alpaca and Blue Twister. The color of the yarn is the natural color of the sheep and alpacas. A beautiful traditional Dutch yarn.

There is approximately 135 meters in a 100 gram ball of Dutch Twisted Wool. We advise you to always knit a test piece first and then wash it to check the number of rows and stitches.

The special properties of Dutch wool and alpaca

Wool from traditional Dutch sheep is characterized by a more robust appearance due to its coarser fibers. Alpaca wool is light, super soft, and strong. This is a perfect match. Blue Texel wool is used as a binding thread with a wonderful effect. Wool fibers are very elastic and have moisture-regulating properties. The wool cools in summer and warms in winter, is highly resistant to bacteria, is flame-retardant, and biodegradable. Wool is self-cleaning and therefore rarely needs washing. Airing is often more than enough. This way, your favorite sweater will last for generations.

Ball or cone

When ordering yarn on cone, the wool is spun on the cone, which allows larger quantities to be ordered at once. When ordering multiple 100 grams on cone, it is spun on one cone at once. With balls, each 100 grams is packed separately. If you want to order more than 5 kilos, please contact us.
