With the 'Eri' KNIT-KIT, you can now knit yourself with our beautiful mohair wool. With this kit, you can make a wonderfully warm scarf that is also great for summer! Wool has the property of cooling in summer and warming in winter. If you prefer something wider, we also have the Eri as a shawl. The Eri is a textural scarf with a sophisticated look, but easy to knit. The pattern is also for beginners! Both kits contain balls of mohair from our own goats and the knitting pattern for the chosen Eri. The scarf has 4 balls and the shawl 8. A nice gift for someone else, or for yourself!

The special properties of mohair

Mohair has the added characteristic of a beautiful sheen and its furry texture makes it super soft, light and durable. Wool fibres are very elastic and have moisture-regulating properties. This wool is highly resistant to bacteria, is fire-resistant and biodegradable. Wool has a self-cleaning ability and therefore hardly needs washing. Airing is often more than enough. This way, your item will last for generations.

 Choose your color and size

The Eri KNIT-KIT is available in three colours: Light Blue, Dark Blue and Dark Grey. These yarns have been washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals have been reduced to a minimum. These yarns are already made of 100% mohair, making them easy to recycle.

The scarf is 30x180 cm and the shawl 60x180 cm.

The Eri is a textured scarf with a sophisticated look, but easy to knit. The pattern is also for beginners! Both packages contain balls of mohair from our own goats and the knitting pattern for the chosen Eri. The scarf has 4 balls and the wrap 8. A nice gift for someone else, or for yourself!

This yarn is made from fair trade mohair wool from Dutch young goats. This wool has the nice property that it does not itch. The yarn is GOTS certified washed and dyed in Italy.

How our price is constructed

By buying an item from us you invest in research, material and machines for knowledge transfer and awareness in the chain of fair, local wool.

There is approximately 100 meters on a ball of Dutch Mohair of 50 grams. We advise you to always knit a test piece first and then wash it at 30 degrees wool wash program to check the number of rows and stitches. After washing you can put the cloth in the dryer for 10 minutes at lukewarm to get the most beautiful hairy result.
