100% Dutch design felt from Kempisch Heideschaap

The felt is made with wool from the Dutch Kempisch Heideschaap. Due to the rise of synthetic materials, almost no Dutch wool has been used for about 30 years. As a result, the wool industry has all but disappeared from the Netherlands. The Knitwit Stable is committed to making the sustainable processing and production of wool in the Netherlands possible again, little by little. After all, wool is a strong, easily recyclable and biodegradable material.

The sheep of grazing company de Wassum graze largely on protected moorlands in the Netherlands, which helps to keep the landscape fertile.In the felt, you can find bits of straw and other plant material that remind you of the grazing on the moors.
