The Wieke is a thick women’s sweater made from locally sourced Dutch wool blended with alpaca and merino.
This mix of fibres gives the Wieke its unique character: the Dutch wool has a more rugged look, which is softened by the addition of alpaca and merino.
The Wieke features a high ribbed collar, making it extra warm and comfortable to wear.

All our products are developed and knitted in our mini factory in Baambrugge.

The special properties of Dutch wool and alpaca

Wool from traditional Dutch sheep is known for its slightly rugged appearance, thanks to its coarser fibres.
Alpaca wool, on the other hand, is light, incredibly soft and strong a perfect match.
Wool fibres are naturally elastic and have excellent moisture-regulating properties.
They keep you cool in summer and warm in winter, are highly resistant to bacteria, flame-retardant, and fully biodegradable.Wool also has a self-cleaning quality, meaning it rarely needs washing, simply airing it out is often enough.
That’s how your favourite sweater can last for generations.

 Choose your color and your size

You can choose from five colors for this sweater: dark blue, off white, taupe, sand and green. The sand, taupe and off white are the natural color of the Dutch wool and not dyed. All yarns of our synthetic colors are washed and dyed according to the GOTS standard. This means that the amount of harmful chemicals has been reduced to a minimum.

This sweater is semi-fitted, falls to the waistband and has a high collar (8 cm). In size medium, the length of the sweater (from the highest shoulder point) is 56 cm and chest width is 48 cm. The sleeve length of the Wieke is extra long and measures to be (from center back) 82 cm.

Made to order

We work according to the made-to-order principle. This means that we only start producing your item after your order. The delivery time is 2-4 weeks. But we promise you: it's worth the wait. And the great thing about this: you can also specify your wishes if you want the item to be made a little shorter or longer, for example.
