Spring in the Air
Spring is in the air. March 20 is spring and that means a lot of hustle and bustle in the stables with the sheep. The first goats have now been sheared and the merinos will soon donate their fur so that we can make beautiful sweaters again.

After shearing comes the sorting of the wool, where we can use your help. We will soon make a call via Instagram. We also have new fun workshops, master classes and a fitting morning on the agenda. We hope to meet you on one of these days.

Earth Day Festival
On Saturday, April 20, we will celebrate the first edition of the Earthday Festival together at Buitenplaats de Hoorneboeg !
The Knitwit Stable can be found at the market all day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with our sweaters, cardigans and spencers from our own collection of The Knitwit Label.

You are very welcome to stroll through the market and enjoy live music in the vegetable garden.
You don't need a ticket for this. Nice if you drop by!

Master class

A new sweater is often bought quickly. But what world is hidden behind your woolen sweater?

On our farm with knitting studio, we will introduce you to the making process of your woolen sweater during the Masterclass 'The world behind a sweater'. This gives you insight into the wool chain, the craft and all facets involved in producing a sweater.

You will meet our merino sheep, Texel sheep and angora goats. You will learn about animal welfare, shearing the coats, the different qualities of wool and the properties and applications of wool. We also show how yarn is made and demonstrate how to make a sweater.

In the afternoon you will also get to work yourself. You will receive explanations and instructions on how to knit a hat on a Brother hand knitting machine. This part takes up to four hours. You will go home with a self-knitted hat made from Dutch yarn.

We have already received many enthusiastic responses from our participants.

WORKSHOP

In addition to the master classes, we also give workshops! Great fun to do together with a friend, neighbor or perhaps with your mother?

You don't need experience on the knitting machine, we will show you step by step how it works. At the end of the afternoon you go home with your self-knit scarf / hat made of Dutch wool.

Workshop Bets: Learn to knit your own scarf/shawl on the knitting machine.

Goat Knitting Workshop: Knit your own mohair scarf/hat outside among the goats! What's more fun than knitting a scarf with their wool among these curly goats. You can't get any closer to the source!
