Sustainable addition to the garden

Wool pellets Wolterra

Wool pellets are an innovative, natural fertiliser made from sheep’s wool. The pellets are made from the waste wool from our sheep (e.g., belly and leg wool, and parts with manure and straw) and are processed by Wolterra. This ensures that all wool is used, and we create as little waste as possible. They absorb moisture and slowly release it back into the soil, providing plants with continuous hydration and nutrients. This promotes healthy growth and improves soil structure, supporting root development. With wool pellets, your garden can flourish in a sustainable and eco-friendly way.

The wool pellets, made from 100% sheep's wool, are a powerful and sustainable addition to the garden. These pellets are rich in essential nutrients, including 10.8% nitrogen, 1.4% phosphate, 1.2% magnesium, and 5.2% potassium, which contribute to healthy plant growth.

Sheep's wool can absorb up to three times its own weight in water, allowing the wool pellets to retain moisture for a long time and gradually release it into the soil. This ensures that plants stay hydrated, while nutrients are gradually released.

In addition, wool pellets improve soil structure, making the soil airier and allowing roots to grow and breathe better. The active period is 6-8 months, after which the wool is digested by soil organisms and improves the soil structure. Wool pellets transform sheep's wool waste into a circular fertilizer, promoting the development of new plant life.

Our wool pellets can be used for, among other things:

  • circular fertilizer and soil improver for ornamental and garden plants;
  • controlling slugs;
  • your garden or vegetable garden.
